SEO Terminology

pagination
– the practice of segmenting links to content on multiple pages, affects two critical elements of search engine accessibility.

What Is Search Engine Saturation?
refers to the number of pages you have indexed in the search engines. Search engine saturation is your gauge for how effective you are in getting search engine listings. It’s one of the gauges for how effective you are at search engine marketing in general.

robots.txt
is a regular text file that instructs robots to not crawl and index certain files, directories within your site, or at all.

Cloaking
Offering a different set of web pages to the search engines

Deep linking
is making a hyperlink that points to a specific page or image on a website, instead of that website’s main or home page. Deep link submission gives more exposure in search engines and that helps to increase SERPs and trust in search engines.

Keyword Density
-refers to the ratio (percentage) of keywords contained within the total number of indexable words within a web page.
-is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page.

Keyword frequency
refers to the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase appears within a web page

keyword prominence
– the location (i.e. placement) of a given keyword in the HTML source code of a web page. The higher up in the page a particular word is, the more prominent it is and thus the more weight that word is assigned by the search engine when that word matches a keyword search done by a search engine user. Consequently, it’s best to have your first paragraph be chock full of important keywords rather than superfluous marketingspeak. This concept also applies to the location of important keywords within individual HTML tags, such as heading tags, title tags, or hyperlink text. So get in the habit of starting off your title tags with a good keyword rather than “Welcome to.”

supplemental page
– a page with very little pageRank, the best way to lift it out, from the options given, is to link to it internally from strong pages.

google- pageRank
Bing – staticRank

Total Word Count: 500
PEZ keyword uses: 12
“PEZ” density = (12*100)/500

Keyword Density = ([Keyword Count]*100)/(Total Word Count]

Google Useful kewords in finding a blog with the option to post a guest blog:

Now what do you do with these terms? You need to mix them into a search on Google, or your favourite search engine, with your keywords. So for example let’s say you wanted to publish an article on The Health Benefits of Reiki then you might run the following search on Google:

Reiki “This guest post was written”

I’ve made it simple by making the above an actual link that does the search in Google for you so you can see exactly how this works.

Try a few others:
Reiki “The following guest post”
Reiki “Now Accepting Guest Posts”
Reiki inurl:guest-blog

You can for example use something like site: as a search modifier well – suppose that I wanted to find all Wikipedia articles on Reiki (and no other sites) then I could do the following:

Reiki site:wikipedia.org

“Add Articles” ”Add Content”
“Submit Article” ”Submit Post”
“Add Guest Post” ”Bloggers Wanted”
“Guest Bloggers Wanted” “Guest Post”
“Guest Posts Roundup” “Guest Blogging Spot”
“Write for Us” ”Submit a Guest Post”

“Submit a Guest Article” ”Guest Post Guidelines”
“Guest Bloggers Wanted” ”Submit an Article”
“Group Writing Project” “Want to Write for”
“Blogs that Accept Guest Posts” “Blogs that Accept Guest Blogging”
“Blogs that Accept Guest Bloggers” “Blogs Accepting Guest Posts”
“Become a Contributor” ”Contribute”
“Submit Design News” ”Submit News”

“Submit Blog Post” ”Suggest a Post”
“Suggest a Guest Post” “Become an Author”
“Contribute to our Site” ”Become a Contributor”
“Become a Guest Writer” ”Places I Guest Posted”
“My Guest Posts” ”Publish Your News”
“Submission Guidelines” ”Guest post by”
“This guest post was written” ”Guest Contributor”
“This guest post is from” “This is a guest article”
“Now Accepting Guest Posts” inurl:guest-posts
“The following guest post” inurl:write-for-us
