I was not able to write a valentine message on Valentines day nor on the eve of this special day, so here comes my post valentine post. Hmmm, my post-valentine-post! (Sounds awkward but I wrote it anyway.) Okay, here it goes.
May you spent the Special day with your loved ones. This only happens once a year. In celebrating valentines day, we commemorate the death of the Patron Saint of Lovers, Saint Valentines, who was sentenced to death by Emperor Claudius on February 14. This is a time specially for lovers in which their feelings and gratitude towards their loved one be expressed by showing their love in any simple way they can. This is to pay respect to the Saint who was died due to his belief that no one could ever stand between couples who want to express their love to one another through marriage.
Saint Valentine was indeed a hero. On the third century AD in ROME, Emperor Claudius
did not allow single men to get married because he wanted all men to become a part of his large troupe of army. Since he cannot force married men to get into the troupe for the fear of leaving their family and loved ones, he then passed a law of preventing single men to get hitched. Saint Valentine, who was then priest, secretly hold marriages for couples who want their knot to be tied but it wasn’t long before the emperor caught him and brought to prison and later beaten and beheaded.
He died because of his belief that no one could ever stand between lovers who want their relationship be blessed before God. He is indeed a hero.
We should keep it in our hearts to spend a special day with our loved ones during Valentines day. I will personally bear it mind as well. We can do it as simple way possible. Even by just greeting our loved ones a Happy Valentines Day message would suffice. Not only to our loved ones but even to our most hated ones. Lol. I should say sorry for I missed greeting all of my friends, families, and acquaintancies a Happy day. My post valentine message would suffice.
This year, my heart on this valentines day beats for him (you-know-who)yes, the father of my baby. We were together on the day before Valentines because we have to see each other for some important reason. We had a very smooth conversation and even… I was in control of my emotions then. I did not beat him up nor confront him. I showed him the new me, the “fascinating womanhood style.” But the question is, AM I too late? Hmm, abangaaaan… What I must do, is to go on with my life and live it to the fullest. I should not be expecting too much. Great things happen when you least expect it the most. Keep it in mind always.
I can’t deny he is still special to me even though things are complicated. My feelings for him become even stronger now. I love the way he cares for our son. He’s worth figthing for despite his flaws and imperfections, but I’ll leave everything up to him. To whomever his heart beats for, I won’t stand in the way. He desevers to be happy.
